From April 15 to 18, Ekaterinburg hosted the 6th international specialized exhibition and forum Healthcare of the Urals–2025. This year, 130 companies from 34 cities of Russia and the Republic of Belarus took part in the event, presenting over 1000 units of medical equipment and goods. The residents of the Ural Biomedical Cluster were traditionally among the participants, as well as its collective member – the Association of Medical and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers of the Sverdlovsk Region.

On April 6, the First Children's Polyclinic in the Akademichesky District celebrated its 10th anniversary. During this time, the institution has become a flagship of high-quality and affordable medical care for children, serving 33,083 young patients. The polyclinic was created by the initiative of the Ural Biomedical Cluster and the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region and became a successful example of public-private partnership.

A meeting of the Committee on Entrepreneurship in Healthcare and Medical Industry of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held in Ekaterinburg on March 18, 2025, chaired by Alexander Petrov. Participants of the event, including representatives of the Association of Medical Specialists for Risk Modification, the Association of Medical and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Ural Biomedical Cluster and members of the Committee considered key challenges in maintaining the health of the able-bodied population, fighting against socially significant diseases and regulating prices for vital drugs.

The Russian pharmaceutical industry has gained significant stability in the recent years thanks to manufacturers such as Medsintez Plant. This is a modern full-cycle biotechnological enterprise that develops and manufactures pharmaceutical ingredients and drugs that meet international GMP and ISO standards.

First Children's Polyclinic LLC

First Children's Polyclinic LLC was opened on the territory of the new Akademichesky District on April 6, 2015 at the initiative of Evgeny Kuyvashev, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, and Alexander Petrov, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The society is a prime example of public-private partnership. The polyclinic fulfills the state order in full and provides pre- medical, medical and specialized primary health care to the children's population within the framework of compulsory medical insurance.

The polyclinic is equipped with modern high-tech medical equipment, mainly Russian- made, and provides comfortable conditions for visitors and medical workers.

Highly qualified specialists (3 of them with a Ph.D. degree) receive patients at First Children's Polyclinic: district pediatricians and specialized doctors.

During the operation of the health care facility, the number of patients attached to it is increasing, and on the current day the number of attached children is 30,000 people in the Akademichesky District.

On July 1, 2022, new pediatric department No. 3 of First Children's Polyclinic LLC opened its doors in the Polesie Neighborhood. District pediatricians receive patients in the branch. The consulting rooms are equipped in accordance with modern requirements.

The polyclinic has a day patient facility where children take rehabilitation treatment and diagnostics.

The convenience of the Polyclinic lies in the fact that everything necessary for providing quality medical care – attendance, the whole range of examinations: laboratory, functional, radiation diagnostics (ultrasound, X-ray) and treatment are in one place. The health care facility operates 7 days a week. Lean Polyclinic technologies are used: from the moment of opening, an «open registration office» has been operating, there is an electronic information board, navigation, playrooms, a room for breast feeding babies, a pram storage room, a comfort zone, the patient flows are divided, there is a single Call center, unified electronic medical record is kept.
