On May 16, 2024, at the RUSSIA EXPO International Exhibition and Forum at the National Economy Achievements Exhibition site (VDNKh), a theme day Modern Health Saving Technologies was held, where enterprises participating in the Ural Biomedical Cluster presented their products at the joint booth of the Sverdlovsk Region. The exhibition was visited by Olga Krivonos, the Deputy Chief of the Russian Federation Government Office, and Mikhail Murashko, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation. All regions, federal ministries, corporations and public organizations took part in the exhibition, representing the achievements of modern Russia.
«Thanks to the efforts of Evgeny Kuyvashev, the Governor, the Sverdlovsk Region does not stop enhancing its competencies in the production of advanced medical equipment to save people’s lives. Today, some of them are presented at the region’s booth,» said Pavel Krekov, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, presenting to the guests the potential of the Middle Urals for the production of high-tech medical equipment and pharmaceutical products.
The Medsintez Plant, a manufacturer of import-substituting pharmaceutical products, EMA Plant, a manufacturer of medical lamps and physiotherapeutic equipment, and Triton-Electronics, a manufacturer of medical equipment for anesthesiology and intensive care, presented their products at the booth of the Sverdlovsk Region.
The Medsintez Plant is one of the key enterprises of the Sverdlovsk Region in the healthcare sector, which is capable of meeting the needs of not only the region, but the entire country for high-quality and affordable drugs. The booth of the region presented the latest recombinant drugs of human albumin, widely used in medicine, the first russian drug of human follicle-stimulating hormone Primapur (FSH) and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) for the treatment of infertility, drugs of genetically engineered and analogue human insulins Rosinsulin, as well as a hypoglycemic agent Semaglutide for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. National drug safety is a priority of the Medsintez Plant: highly qualified specialists of the enterprise are able to develop new drugs, organize production sites in the shortest possible time, equip them with high-tech equipment and ensure uninterrupted supplies of drugs to hospitals and pharmacies of the country.
The largest Russian developer and manufacturer of high-tech anesthesiology and intensive-care medical equipment, Triton-Electronics, also presented its products at the region’s booth. The firm manufactures ALV devices of JV100 series for high-frequency jet ventilation and MV300 and MV350 series for conventional ventilation. The Zisline MV350 ALV device has a built-in flow generator that ensures 10 years or 40,000 hours of operation, as well as advanced patient monitoring and a digital proximal flow sensor. The specialized single-channel monitor MGA-06 is designed for evaluation and long-term monitoring of the anaesthetic depth and sedation level of the patient. MPR6-03 patient monitors provide monitoring of 5 main parameters according to the Harvard Standard, as well as additional monitoring: analysis of anesthetic gases, assessment of the anaesthetic depth and sedation level, non-invasive assessment of central hemodynamic parameters, monitoring of CO2 in the forward and lateral flows, including volumetric capnometry, assessment of the true metabolic needs of the patient, respiratory mechanics, monitoring of invasive pressures, including low ones.
Zavod EMA showed the low-frequency magnetotherapy device Pole 101 at the booth. The device is intended for use in physiotherapy rooms and in the wards of healthcare institutions, it is easy to use, and ensures complete safety for the patient and medical personnel. The physiotherapy equipment of Zavod EMA is represented by the Polus line of low-frequency magnetotherapy devices, the electrotherapy device (galvanizer) Potok 1, as well as the ultraviolet stationary irradiator OUFNU. The main products of the plant are EMALED medical lamps designed to illuminate the surgical field during surgical operations, diagnostic studies and dressings. Zavod EMA is the leader among manufacturers of LED medical lamps in Russia. The key component of the EMALED line of lamps is LED technology – LED bundles, which, unlike traditional incandescent lamps, are not heat emitters and have high color rendering quality with a service life of up to 60,000 hours.
Distinguished guests of the exhibition highly appreciated the innovativeness of products and the level of import substitution of the Cluster enterprises, expressing confidence in promising and fruitful cooperation. Today, the Ural Biomedical Cluster includes 18 companies – manufacturers of medical and pharmaceutical products, their production capacities are able to address 100% of the needs of the Sverdlovsk Region in many of the most socially significant areas of healthcare.
