Medsintez Plant Presents Innovative Solutions for Diabetes Mellitus Treatment at the National Congress of Endocrinologists in Moscow

Medsintez Plant, one of Russia's leading manufacturers of insulins and drugs for the therapy of socially significant diseases, traditionally participated in the 11th (32nd) National Congress of Endocrinologists with International Participation. The event, themed Personalized Medicine in Endocrinology: From Fundamental Science to Clinical Practice, took place from 26 to 29 May in Moscow.

The large-scale event, organized by the Russian Association of Endocrinologists with the support of the Ministry of Health of Russia and National Medical Research Center for Endocrinology named after Academician I. I. Dedov, Federal State Budgetary Institution, gathered over 3,000 delegates from Russia and abroad. The keynote topics of the congress focused on the implementation of innovative technologies – ranging from genome editing to artificial intelligence algorithms for predicting endocrine risks.

At the company's booth, specialists paid particular attention to the flagship ROSINSULIN product line, which includes genetically engineered and analogue human insulins. Endocrinologists appreciated the availability and consistent quality of the products supplied by the company, which has been ensuring the drug security of Russian patients with diabetes mellitus for over 15 years.

Furthermore, the plant demonstrated its proprietary developments in the field of delivery devices: patented disposable and reusable insulin pens that ensure high dosing accuracy. Supported by its own R&D centre and expertise in biotechnology, the company continues to expand its range of diabetology drugs.

The central novelty of the exhibition was Semaglutide Medsintez (INN: semaglutide), a human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogue for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Full-cycle production is being launched in 2026 with the support of the Industrial Development Fund of the Russian Federation.

Medsintez Plant is the first pharmaceutical company in Russia to be awarded the Russian Federation Government Quality Award. Today, the company implements a full production cycle for the entire ROSINSULIN product line and its analogue forms, ensuring stable supplies of critically important medicines.

The company not only addresses the current challenges of import substitution but also actively carries out research and development. Plans are underway to master the production of new long-acting insulin products and drugs from the «glutide» group for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus

Following the congress, a resolution was adopted on further steps to implement personalized approaches into practical healthcare across Russian regions, and the experience of Medsintez Plant was highlighted as an example of successfully combining scientific potential with a tangible contribution to therapy accessibility.
