Vyacheslav Tyumentsev, Head of the Novouralsk Urban District, appreciated the contribution of the Medsintez Plant and the Ural Biomedical Cluster to regional and Russian healthcare

On June 3, 2022, Vyacheslav Yakovlevich Tyumentsev, Head of the Novouralsk Urban District, visited the production facilities of the Medsintez Plant and discussed plans for future cooperation with the management of the enterprise aimed at developing and improving the social life of the town. During the visit, Vyacheslav Yakovlevich noted the high-tech production of vital medicines of the plant, its capacity, high potential for expanding and creating new import-substituting medicines, components necessary for the country's pharmaceutical industry under the sanctions policy of Western countries. The head of the NUD expressed gratitude on behalf of the Administration for the confidence in the drug safety of the district and the country as a whole.

«Health is the most important thing for our country, for our population, without it there will be no future. The company deals with vital drugs, for example, drugs for the treatment of infertility, without which it is impossible to achieve the goals that the President sets, among other things, for demography. This is one of the largest enterprises in our town, steadily operating, having plans and strategic goals. Therefore, of course, I would like to understand what questions the team has to the town authorities, whether there is an understanding of the plans that we are currently implementing. Our common task is to make it comfortable for the residents of the town, the employees of Medsintez, to live in the town,» Vyacheslav Yakovlevich said.

Alexander Alexandrovich Petrov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Medsintez Plant, noted that the positive changes that were being carried out in the city were certainly noticeable and the plant team fully supported them, they had to be brought to the end in order to show the result. The contacts of the enterprise with the Town Administration of Novouralsk are constantly maintained for the benefit of the town's development. Alexander Alexandrovich also shared the goals and objectives of the Medsintez Plant, spoke about how the enterprise was developing in the face of modern challenges.

«During the pandemic period, the Medsintez Plant did not stop its work for a single day. We produce vital medicines, we have proven that we can work in difficult epidemiological conditions, now the second challenge is sanctions. We have done a lot of work for 3 months. Practice has shown that all the same components are produced both in Russia and in Southeast Asia, which are available in Europe and America. We understand that we can successfully substitute those things that were previously imported from Europe, so we will continue to work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, without stopping even for a moment. We understand that the lives of Russians, the comfort in the treatment of Russian patients depend on our work. Today, we have shown that we are doing the most innovative things in biotechnologies that exist in the world space, in chemical synthesis we are producing a unique molecule, on the basis of which the drug Triazavirin was created, which is now used throughout Russia against influenza and SARS, so we will continue our work, we will develop, as always, together with the town of Novouralsk,» Alexander Alexandrovich said.

The Medsintez Plant is the basic enterprise of the Ural Biomedical Cluster, the products of the member enterprises of which were also presented to the Head of the Novouralsk Urban District – they are innovative products of the Dezitol trademark produced by UralNanotech, LLC for protection against the transmission and development of infections, widely used in areas with increased sanitary requirements: skin antiseptic Dezitol A effective for the prevention of a wide range of infections and tested at the Research Institute of the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare, as well as long-acting antimicrobial coating Dezitol B used for multi-barrier protection of the skin of patients in the surgical and postsurgical period, used in everyday life as a «liquid plaster».

Medical products for hemodialysis were also presented, the production of which is also located in the town of Novouralsk at the Dizet plant, the only Russian manufacturer of a line of domestic artificial kidney devices Malachite, water treatment systems for hospitals, automatic concentrate supply systems, as well as dry and liquid dialysis concentrates. The technologies were developed by Ural scientists and Ural nephrologists. Improving the life and health of patients has always been a priority for resident enterprises of the Ural Biomedical Cluster, for that reason the companies produce import-substituting products, bringing life-saving treatment technologies closer to patients.
